Happy Birthday Grandma!!!
Today is the birthday of an amazing mother, grandmother, and mother -in-law. She is the mother of my wonderful husband. I want to thank her for the son she has given me. Everyday I see her love thru my husband by his kind words and deeds. I know it is what he has learned from his mother because he is just like her. She has built a strong yet tender wall of love and I have seen this shown to RyLee and I. She is a great grandmother to RyLee by showing her patience, kindness, and going to the land of make believe to see my 5 year old smile or giggle. We have recently seen the excitement of our adoption and the joy our new little girl is going to bring by her happily sewing all the crib bedding, and trying to help us raise money for the adoption. Jan you truly are a great mother and we love you very much!! Happy "38th" Birthday!!!!!

Happy Anniversary

Monday Nov 3rd was our 8 year anniversary. It has been a path in life where we're headed together and the special moments we have shared along the way. Without a doubt we have been walking on the same path. It has been an amazing 8 years and we are both excited to see what the next 8 years will bring. I love you baby, Happy Anniversary!!!!!!
Halloween
Our inventive daughter decided she wanted to be a butterfly fairy for halloween this year. Her dress looked like one meant more for a witch, but RyLee had another use for it. She had a great time trick- o -treating with Darius and his little friend Preston. Usually we make her walk with us but the boys taught Ry to run to every door. At first she was being polite and letting the boys stand in front of her, but in the end she held her own. Thats our Girl! We went to some of the houses that the boys knew and they made sure to tell Ry about the scary house. We when it came time to go to the door of
the "Famous" house RyLee was a little nervous, so Mike went with her. She made it to the stairs and almost to the door when she heard some scary noises. She bolted as fast as she could and did not look back. We dont think we have ever seen her run that fast. Poor Baby, maybe next year!!
Pumpkin patch
A tradition in our family is to go to the staheli farm the monday before halloween. This year it was very cold and windy. We made it to the animals, play yard, and pumpkin patch. We never made it to the corn maze because we just wanted to go home and get warm. Although the weather wasnt in our favor, RyLee had a blast as usual.

Eggleston family news

We finally thought it was time to let friends and family know that our family will be going thru a change pretty soon.
We have tried a long time to bring RyLee a sibling, a sister to be exact. But with 9 miscarriages and years of failure that is not going to happen.
We thought this Untill I got a call from my friend shannon to see if I was going to go to Salt lake to visit family and take her daughter maternity clothes. I decided to go because I hadnt seen my sister in a long time because she lives in Roy. So I planned on taking shannons daughter (A) out for lunch. While out lunch with (A) and RyLee, (A) said she wanted me to come up there from st george because she wanted to know if we would adopt her baby. Mike and I werent planning on adopting a baby and hadnt thought of adoption since before RyLee was conceived. We were shocked and happy at the same time. RyLee knew what she was asking and was very happy to finally have her sister. Yes, the "Baby" is going to be a beautiful girl. Mike and I are so happy and cant wait to complete our little family. We are so thankful to have a birthmom who puts the love and needs of her unborn baby before that of her own. She is a brave and loving person, we cant wait to have (A) a part of our family also. We will forever love her and be thankful for the life she will give us to cherish. In the meantime we will keep everyone posted with this new journey as it unfolds. Pray for us, birthmom, and all family involved. Baby Girl is due JAN 5th so we have just a little while to get ready for baby.
Everyday Life

It was about time I posted a new blog on here, I am really bad about keeping up.
Well mike has been busy being a stay at home dad with Rypie during the week while I go to school full time. For those who dont know or remember I am getting my RN degree. We decided to homeschool Ry so mike is her main teacher. Rylee meantioned the other day I am daddy's helper. Yes, I guess I am. They stay busy the best they can. Mike has even taken her on a camping trip over night while I stayed home for school. They go fishing a lot which RyLee loves if Daddy buys worms. She is determined to have them as pets. Unfortunity she pets them a little to much, they end up going to worm heaven from all her love. This little girl really longs for a pet, poor thing!
Tonight we took RyLee to a haunted house that made one for little kids. RyLee really wanted to go, she had waited all day for daddy to get off work to go. As we waited in line for tickets a teenager said how scared she was and Ry looked up and said" you dont have to be scared they are pretend. Be like me, I am brave and strong." She really was not scared she went thru first while Mike and I trailed behind her. I am embarrassed to say, but I would use mike as the human sheild. I know its pretend but there is something about not knowing when something is going to jump out at you! I love my husband but I know I would sacrifice him like a lamb!!!
After I went to watch Night in Rodanthe with my friend Shannon for a girls night out. I should have know that all Nicholas Sparks movies end up being tear jerkers. But, are we smart enough to bring tissue? No. We ended up wiping it on ourselves. Shannon used her sleave, I wiped it on my pants. When we walked out from the movie we looked like a sad sight to see. Good thing it was raining and we could blame that for the tear streaked faces. It was a good movie to watch if you ever need a good cry.

911
This summer Rylee had the chance to be involved with safety town. It is a program for 5 year olds to learn about 911, fire safety, house safety, and all the way down to stranger danger. She didnt pass the stranger danger test , which is a completly different story! Well Rylee's favorite part was calling 911 , this knowledge was put to the test a few weeks ago. We had a yard sale with the parents and grandma's stomach was bothering her so she spent most of the time in the house. Rylee would go back and forth in the house to check on grandma to make sure she was ok. After one of the many checks on grandma she came out side to tell me this, "mommy, I called 911 for grandma because she needs help." I said "what" in shock and thought she was kidding around with me. So as I was going in the house a 911 dispatcher called. I had to explain what happen and she said it happens all the time with children her age but she still had to send an officer out to make sure things were alright. It was funny to see Ry's reaction when the officer arrived because she made a mad dash towards the house to hide. Of course the officer was nice and gentle and gave a talk about letting mommy know first if there is a problem, and if I cant help THEN call 911. He gave her a sticker and a hug then went on his way. Needless to say I think we have 911 down to a science, now we just need to work on stranger danger!
