MAMMA MIA

When I had bought the Mamma Mia soundtrack I had no idea RyLee was going to love the music. So Yesterday I took her to see the movie at the dollar theatre. She loved it! She sang all the songs, which was fine because we were the youngest ones in the theatre. Everyone had white hair and old enough to be great grandma and grandpa's, so Iam sure they couldnt hear her belt out the tunes. The movie wasnt completly over before Ry asked if we can come and see it again. Then as soon as we got home she asked to borrow the soundtrack to take in her room. As mike and I were reading Glenn Becks book christmas sweater together, we could hear her in the room singing "money, money must be funny in a rich mans world". We love to see the fun personality of our daughter, she finds happiness in all that she does and that is what life is about. She sets a great example for her dad and I. WE love you RYPIE!

Secret Club

The other day RyLee informed Mike and I that she had a secret club called the "hey girls". All her friends are invited to come and it will be in her room. She made sure to tell us that we can not come because we are adults but we can come in to check on them. When I asked her how she had planned this she showed us the "guest list" and said everything else is a secret, so she cant tell us anything else. I couldnt figure out where she learned about secret clubs until we put Holly Hobbie on yesterday. Sure enough holly has a secret girls club called the "hey Girls". This made me sad, my baby is almost 6 and has a secret club. Which means she is a big girl and not our baby anymore. Darn Holly Hobbie!!!

Alone with daddy

RyLee and mike spend the day together while I am at school. So when i come home I find RyLee in the weirdest fashion or hear about their adventures at the park. Since Mike is such a great dad and we are going to have a new baby in the home soon, I thought I would give mike a hard time and post this picture. Mike you really are a great dad and I love you more for RyLees pink socks with a blue striped dress and orange hair clippy. LOVE YOU babe!

Happy Birthday Grandma!!!

Today is the birthday of an amazing mother, grandmother, and mother -in-law. She is the mother of my wonderful husband. I want to thank her for the son she has given me. Everyday I see her love thru my husband by his kind words and deeds. I know it is what he has learned from his mother because he is just like her. She has built a strong yet tender wall of love and I have seen this shown to RyLee and I. She is a great grandmother to RyLee by showing her patience, kindness, and going to the land of make believe to see my 5 year old smile or giggle. We have recently seen the excitement of our adoption and the joy our new little girl is going to bring by her happily sewing all the crib bedding, and trying to help us raise money for the adoption. Jan you truly are a great mother and we love you very much!! Happy "38th" Birthday!!!!!

Happy Anniversary

Monday Nov 3rd was our 8 year anniversary. It has been a path in life where we're headed together and the special moments we have shared along the way. Without a doubt we have been walking on the same path. It has been an amazing 8 years and we are both excited to see what the next 8 years will bring. I love you baby, Happy Anniversary!!!!!!

Halloween

Our inventive daughter decided she wanted to be a butterfly fairy for halloween this year. Her dress looked like one meant more for a witch, but RyLee had another use for it. She had a great time trick- o -treating with Darius and his little friend Preston. Usually we make her walk with us but the boys taught Ry to run to every door. At first she was being polite and letting the boys stand in front of her, but in the end she held her own. Thats our Girl! We went to some of the houses that the boys knew and they made sure to tell Ry about the scary house. We when it came time to go to the door of the "Famous" house RyLee was a little nervous, so Mike went with her. She made it to the stairs and almost to the door when she heard some scary noises. She bolted as fast as she could and did not look back. We dont think we have ever seen her run that fast. Poor Baby, maybe next year!!

Pumpkin patch

A tradition in our family is to go to the staheli farm the monday before halloween. This year it was very cold and windy. We made it to the animals, play yard, and pumpkin patch. We never made it to the corn maze because we just wanted to go home and get warm. Although the weather wasnt in our favor, RyLee had a blast as usual.
